http://phamerator.org/ is currently down. Does anyone has an idea when it will be up again?

Thanks, Eric.

DNA master error. Any idea?

I merged all DNA master files. Ran "validate", no error. Then I closed the archive file. Worked on the other phage. Then I came back to open the DNA master file again and ran 'validate' again. Then I encountered this error. What might be wrong?

I'm using a window machine. Build is 2481. 18 Mar 2016.

It worked. But I want to add one point: some students' laptops could update without modifying the shortcut. Thanks.

I'll ask the student to try and let you know. Thanks.

Lee,
I did create a desktop icon and invoked from the icon. The laptop is her own so I don't think the error had to do with system privilege. When accessed File/Preferences/Local Settings/New Features, I only saw to radio buttons (the lower half of the form disappeared). In addition, I'm pretty sure the DM version (5.xx.5) we downloaded was outdated. Thanks though.

Eric.

Hi,

I helped a student to download and install DM into her own Windows laptop. After completed the installation, I wanted to update DNA Master. But it gave me an error message: 'error in DNA master update'. Screenshot attached.

Thanks in advance.
Eric.

Some DM did not show Figure 1.2 completely, the lower part was totally missed (see pdf attached) even we updated DM and restarted PC many times. What might be wrong?

Thanks,
Eric.

Hi Eric,

What is the build number of the computers having problems? To find this out, go to Help –> About.

–Dan

Version 5.22.5. Actually I had asked our IT to download and reinstall DNA Master again. It is working now. The current version is 5.22.23. But I'm confused why the 'update DNA Master' function didn't do the work.

The most common problem with DNA Master is that it's not being run as an administrator. If not, then even when the update "completes", it won't really be updated. The best thing to do is to check that build number and see whether it's up-to-date or not. If not, then run an update and check the build number again. If it hasn't updated, then something else is wrong (like not running as an administrator).

Got it. Thanks.
