Billy Biederman has many years of experience working with scientists who express an interest in science education. He supports the Science Education Alliance's professional development efforts, endeavoring to broaden, facilitate, and support the implementation of innovative college-level biology laboratory courses across the country. He also supports the planning and conduct of numerous workshops, field tests, and evaluation projects that inform the ongoing program development. Before joining HHMI, Biederman studied computer science and engineering at the University of Maryland. Biederman keeps an eye on the landscape of the life science education community to find additional opportunities to develop new research-based courses.
