Virology is an upper level course for Biology majors. It is taught as a flipped classroom. Students view online lectures outside of class. Class time is dedicated to viral genomics and bioinformatics in silico projects (including phage), molecular epidemiology assignments, problem sets that apply lecture topics, and review of primary literature.
