I am a plant evolutionary biologist and I study the ways in which plants evolve in response to natural selection and other evolutionary forces. I am particularly interested in understanding speciation and the evolution of plant mating systems. I teach a variety of courses, including the cell and molecular biology semester of Introductory Biology, Evolution, and Genetics.
