Thanks Debbie and Lee - looks like I was not annotating the slip appropriately. I still get this message, is this fine for submission? Levi |

Hello, I am bringing my file from PECAAN into DNA Master and having an issue with the programmed translational frameshift. The error I am getting is: join(8539. .9090;9035. .9475) 1 In-frame Stop Codon 8539 - 9090 and share a 5' (upstream) coordinate I am fairly certain the frameshift occurs around 9035 and this worked in PECAAN. I tried to follow the guide for programming this into DNA Master but it was not working - does this mean I am labeling the frameshift incorrectly? I am trying to format for submission and could appreciate some help, thanks! Some further details - my phage is Vivum on PECAAN if you want to look further into this. |

Hi all, Is there a good resource that describe the difference between % Identity vs % Aligned vs % Coverage? These terms are all used in the CDD output on PECAAN and I would like to be able to differentiate them easier. I am getting some snippets here and there on my searches, but nothing concrete. Any help? |

Hi all - I am having the worst time getting DNA Master to work on the department computers I am using. I am having my students annotate some "known" genes from QuinnAvery as practice before we get into our genomes. Is it acceptable to upload a practice copy of a phage genome to PECAAN for use with my students? I plan to delete it after - this will just be so much easier for me than using DNA Master. Please advise! Thanks! |

Here are the only options given by the installer when I open it. |

So I tried delete of the DNA Master folder, but that did not help. The Install Wizard only gives me three options (Modify, Repair, Remove). Remove doesn't work, and the other two options don't let me change my directory. Any other ideas about where I can turn? Thankfully my installation is fine, but my students can't use DNA master on their machines due to installation in the wrong drive, and I would hate for them to have this program stuck on their machine now. |

I have not tried deleting it exactly - I am a bit nervous about doing that. If I delete the folder that the program is installed in, do you think that will remove the program from my computer? I can try and report back. Levi Storks |
