Hi Nic: the dark things in your micrograph are ribosomes.I suspect the bright shiny sphere is a vesicle, perhaps. Carol |

Dear SEA-PHAGES community: I am co-organizing the XXIX Phage/Virus Assembly conference being held on the Cape June 15-20. Trainees are often given speaking opportunities and there are poster sessions as well. Here is the link for the conference: https://pvaconference.wixsite.com/pva2025 I hope some of you can attend. I thought folks might find this software useful in their classes. BioRender (biorender.io) is free for students, or with $10 the students can get an upgraded version. It's a web app that has icons ready for students to use, or if there is an icon you want, you can ask them to make it. We're thinking of having students use it to make flow charts.
