Hypothetical Protein or Tape Measure?

Looking at gene 32 on Phamerator (see screenshot) for SwissCheezer. Other phages in the Pham have hypothetical protein listed as function and that's what the BLASTp results also look like. Should we continue to call this hypothetical protein or tape measure is what we're struggling with? HHPred data also does not give function call. Trying not to call by synteny alone, but this is the largest gene in the genome and makes sense in terms of the location in the genome as well. |

Hi Jennifer, Have you done any EMs of SwissCheezer? Or looked at EMs of phages of this cluster? I can finish the answer, but I would rather you look there first and let me know what you think. Thanks, debbie |
