The purpose of this poster is to investigate the role of the tRNA included in the genome of the bacteriophage “Rona”. Rona providing its own tRNA serves a potential benefit in infecting a wider host range so it would have an advantage over other phages that do not possess any tRNA. The tRNA in Rona carries the amino acid, glutamine. This corresponds to a glutamine-carrying tRNA found in a similar location of Rona’s preferred host, Microbacterium foliorum.
