orpham BLAST data

| posted 11 Dec, 2021 18:07
Hello!
I am undergraduate student currently working on an annotation for the F1 phage "Rita." Gene 84 (start: 50945 stop: 51550) is an orpham (pham 76575). However, on DNA Master, BLAST data for phages of a different pham (pham 8247) are present for this orpham. I was curious if anyone had any insight on if I should utilize this BLAST data in my annotation as I am unsure. Thank you so much!

Maybe the different pham gene is actually in a different frame. What do you think?
